The Black Dragon Power Cord provides greater AC current capacitance with conductors that are twice as large as the Silver Dragon Power Cord. The Black Dragon is specifically recommended for large high-current amplifiers (+200 wpc) and sub-woofers. The Black Dragon Power Cord offers neutral tonality, extended highs, crystal clear transparency, acoustic "air" or ambience, and high-resolution harmonic definition with extended dynamic range. Bass and sub-sonic response is extremely accurate and transparent.

VooDoo Black Dragon Power Cord is built with #9 AWG high-purity silver-clad copper wire terminated with the Wattgate 320i IC Connector and the Hubbell 5266 NEMA Plug, The contacts within these connectors are hand-polished and treated before the power cord is terminated. All wire and connectors used to build the Black Dragon is cryogenically treated in our proprietary cold fusion deep-immersion process to structurally align and fuse the metallurgical molecular bond in the conductive metals for optimal sonic performance. Each strand of the lead and neutral conductors is insulated with Teflon dielectric to suppress AC noise caused by micro-arcing within the lay of the individual strands that make up the conductors. Each conductor is custom wound in a low inductance/ high capacitance geometry that allows plenty of headroom for even the most power-hungry monoblock and multi-channel power amps.

To suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) each conductor is insulated with Teflon dielectric and wrapped in a secondary dielectric of cross-linked polyethylene to shield against invasive EMI across the effective bandwidth. For protection against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, a specially treated oversized ferrite filter has been installed to absorb this undesirable interference. The cord body is sheathed with double layers of abrasion-resistant polyethylene mesh for maximum durability and optimal flexibility.
